New update for Homeworks, including several improvements and bug fixes:
Improvements
- Mobile (Field Force): You can now sign in with Face ID or fingerprint instead of typing your password. Once you turn it on after signing in, later logins offer a quick biometric check, with password sign-in still available as a fallback.
- API: Quick Dispatch Templates can now be managed through the API, so you can create, review, update, and delete saved bundles of properties and services, then dispatch a template to create visits for a chosen date.
- Estimates: Estimate line items can now carry budgeted hours through the API, so quotes built through an integration no longer need hours re-entered by hand.
Bug Fixes
- Messaging: SMS messages in the queue now send oldest-first, so older queued texts go out in order instead of getting stuck behind newer ones.
- Invoicing: Fixed an invoice wrongly flipping to Partial after a partial refund brought its balance to zero. It now keeps its Paid in Full status, and Mark as Paid no longer errors in that case.
- Invoicing: Visits can no longer be reopened while their invoice is past due with a partial payment. Reopening in that state could detach the visit from the invoice and bill the customer twice when it was closed again.
- Estimates: Visits created from an estimate and later deleted no longer appear on the estimate with a December 31, 1969 date, and the service line offers Create new visit again instead of a broken View visit link.
- Dispatch Board: Fixed the route start and end picker so the Crew location option works when a route's stops are all assigned to one crew. The start and end choice is now saved with the route and restored when you reopen it.
- Dispatch Board: The Has dispatch notes filter no longer hides every event. It now correctly shows only visits that have dispatch notes.
- Event Reports: Tag filters on event reports now return the right results instead of being ignored or mismatched.
- API: Unset custom field values now come back as null instead of 0 or a 1970 date, and each field's default value is now exposed through the API.
- Dispatch Board: Fixed route start and end points reading back as a custom location when you had selected the company depot and old coordinates were still saved on the route. The saved choice now reads back exactly as selected.
- Customers: New customers created through the Work Request Form, CSV import, or QuickBooks sync now inherit your company’s “Require a payment method on file” setting. Customers are no longer wrongly asked for a card to accept estimates when you have that requirement turned off.
- Employee Management: Newly added team members no longer see a blank screen when they first sign in. Accounts now load with default schedule colors until the new user customizes their own.
- Schedule: Fixed a blank screen some users saw when opening Create Visit or other scheduling pages, caused by a corrupted saved schedule color. Affected pages now load with the default color instead.
- Messaging: Pending text messages older than 14 days no longer send, so customers won’t receive stale messages long after they were queued.
